The Portugal Board of Tourism made a formal statement, in which among other issues it was told that the state would do its best to maintain stability in the country, provide further development of tourism and safety of tourists visiting Portugal. The Portugal Board of Tourism announced that the British are not only visiting Portugal more frequently, they are exploring less commercial areas and cultural destinations. Almost half of visitors said they visit Portugal to experience the culture as well as its beaches.
